1 hour = 60 minutes
1 minute = 60 seconds
1 hour = 60 x 60 = 3600 seconds
1 day = 24 hours

Conversion of Hours into Minutes
Example 1: Convert 2 hrs 40 min into minutes
1 hr = 60 min
Therefore, 2 hrs = 2 x 60 = 120 min
2 hrs 40 min = 120 min + 40 min = 160 minutes
Conversion of Minutes into Hours
Example 1: Convert 180 minutes into hours
60 min = 1 hour
Therefore, 180 min = 180 ÷ 60 = 3 hours
Conversion of Minutes into Seconds
Example 1: Convert 5 min 37 sec into seconds
1 min = 60 sec
Therefore, 5 min = 5 x 60 = 300 sec
5 min 37 sec = 300 sec + 37 sec = 337 seconds
Conversion of Seconds into Minutes
Example 1: Convert 240 seconds into minutes
60 seconds = 1 minute
Therefore, 240 seconds = 240 ÷ 60 = 4 minutes

Note: First convert hours into minutes and then minutes into seconds.

Now, 1 min = 60 sec

Hours into Minutes

3 hrs 10 min = 180 min + 10 min = 190 minutes
Minutes into Seconds
Now, 1 min = 60 sec
240 x 60 = 14400 seconds

1 day = 24 hours
Therefore, 5 days = 5 x 24 = 120 hours
