      Angle Basics

      Angle is formed when two rays or two line segments are joined with a common end point.


      Vertex: Common end point where two arms meet is called vertex of an angle.

      Arms: Two rays or line segments forming an angle are called arms.

      Naming Angles


      We can name angle as angle XYZ or angle Y. We use symbol to denote an angle.
      So, we can write 


      Note:

      1. We use capital letters to name an angle.

      2. Letter in the middle denote the vertex of an angle.

      3. We can also use number in place of alphabet to name an angle.
