    • Telling the Time – 1 Hour

We all have seen three hands on the face of clock. The hour hand tells time in hours. There are 12 major divisions marked on the clock. When the hour hand moves from 1 division to the next division, 1 hour have passed. There are 12 major divisions and each division stand for 5 minutes, so we can say 1 hour = 12 x 5 = 60 minutes.

The minute hand moves faster compared to hour hand and minute hand takes 1 hour to complete 1 round of the face of the clock whereas hour hand takes 12 hours to complete one round of the face of the clock.
